Sloyan, Elliot (2026) Dataset for Exploring the Role of Pain Neuroscience Education in the Prevention and Management of Persistent Postpartum Pain.
Transcripts from the Patient and Public Involvement element of the study, which aimed to gather the insights of women who are pregnant and healthcare professionals around antenatal pain education. PPI was undertaken to ensure that the focus, content, and delivery of pain neuroscience education in antenatal care reflected the priorities and lived experiences of women, enhancing relevance, acceptability, and potential for real-world implementation. Two different groups were invited to provide insight on the broader research topic. The first was HCPs including midwives, physiotherapists, psychiatrists, and psychotherapists. The second were women who are pregnant. Of these, nine HCPs and five women who are pregnant ultimately participated in the study.
