Qualitative data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 34 female nurses and doctors working in a Ghanaian teaching hospital. Interviews explored organisational culture and non-work factors influencing work-life balance, strategies used to manage work and personal responsibilities, and participants' views on organisational and policy support. The interview data were transcribed and analysed thematically using NVivo. Codes were developed from the interview data and organised into themes and subthemes. The dataset deposited here has been anonymised for repository deposit.
