During transcription, identifying information was anonymised, and each participant was assigned a player number, which is used throughout the thesis when referring to interview material. Audio recordings and transcripts were stored securely and were accessible only to the researcher. These measures ensured that participants could not be identified while allowing their experiences of gameplay to be represented accurately within the analysis.</legal_ethical>
