Dataset description:
This dataset contains the numerical data used for data analysis and
preparation of the figures presented in the thesis.

With the exception of image-based characterisation data, such as SEM and
TEM micrographs, the numerical data underlying the plotted curves and data
points in the thesis are included in this deposit.

The datasets have been labelled according to the corresponding figure
numbers and panel labels in the thesis, including individual panels such
as (a), (b), (c), and (d), where applicable.
