Data collected as part of a project by Dr Maddy Greville-Harris, Dr Laura Vuillier, Dr Catherine Talbot, and Dr Katherine Appleton (Ethics ID 39332) exploring risk factors for orthorexia nervosa. This dataset has been used to explore the mediating role of perfectionism in the relationship between obsessive compulsive symptoms and orthorexia tendencies.

Data processing and preparation activities:

The published version of the dataset has been modified by removing outliers to preserve the anonymity of participants. Specifically, an upper age limit (with age 30 and over removed) has been applied to remove 20 age entries for participants who identified as psychology students at Bournemouth University above this age limit. This will result in differences between statistical reporting in the paper (based on the complete dataset) and analysis of the modified data.
